Cheers m'dears!

This fangame plays just like Monkey Island, but it's set in s01e04 of Our Flag Means Death. The goal: be a lighthouse.

If you experience a very laggy game, please make sure the 3D acceleration setting is enabled in your browser.

If you're on MacOS, the web version may not be working. You can still play! We included a MacOS executable you can download at the bottom of this page.

But I'm not a pirate. I'm an idiot!

You've never played Monkey Island before? It's okay! Here are tips on how to navigate the game.

Pay attention to the action panel:

The upper line lets you know which action is currently selected. By default, it's "Walk to". That means your current character will walk to wherever you click, if it's accessible.

If you want to do something else, first select a verb, than click any interactable topic. You can spot interactable topics by moving the pointer in the scene: if the cursor's color changes and the upper line of the action panel changes, you've found one! Maybe first you try clicking "Talk To", then "Ed". Items in your inventory are also interactable topics!

Most verbs expect only one topic to be selected. However, these expect two: "Give" (Give [topic 1] to [topic 2]) and "Use" (Use [topic 1] with [topic 2]).

And finally, you can switch characters! Click the character's portrait on the right of the action panel.

Do you wanna do something weird?

This was incredible. The quotes! The references! The details! The rock, paper, scissors haha! It made me giggle, it made me emotional. And it was generally very clear what I needed to do to progress - so well made. Thank you so much for this beautiful experience!

Oh my god, this was so special!!! Absolutely adorable <3

I play a lot of video games and my favorite genre is P&C! so when I saw you were making this I was super excited. I don't know where to start. The pixel art is gorgeous and every little thing feels very true to the show. I like to click and explore everything, and so much attention to detail and love went into this game. Lot's of perfect little easter eggs (the wedding toppers!) and one-liners (Why does he have a cat collar with a bell on it?) It honestly made me laugh and smile throughout. Thank you! you made us a lovely game!! :)
